Amaia Montero

Amaia Montero Saldas is a Spanish singer and songwriter best known for her time from 1996 to 2007 as the lead vocalist of the Spanish pop group La Oreja de Van Gogh. Amaia has performed songs in several different languages, including English, French, Italian, Basque, Spanish, and Catalan. The band's most popular singles, including "Mariposa" (2000) and "Puedes Contar Conmigo" (2003), were also written by her in their original versions. In total, Montero has sold more than 10 million records worldwide, not counting her work with the band.
