Avelino

Achi Avelino, better known by his stage name Avelino, is a Congolese and Angolan-born British rapper and singer from Tottenham, London, who is praised for his "depth wordplay" and "unique tone." Rapping at first as AA, Avelino initially posted freestyles on YouTube. Through More Music Records, he released his first mixtape, Underdog Music, in 2013. Charlie-Louise Akintilo of GRM Daily praised the initiative for being "edgy" and "refreshing." Following the release of his second mixtape, Iconic Ambition, which was a part of DJ Semtex's Mixtape Top 5 on BBC Radio 1Xtra, Avelino gained notoriety in 2014. Having previously worked with Stormzy on the mixtape song "No Comment," he continued to assist Stormzy on tour throughout 2015.
