Dan Hill

A pop singer and composer from Canada is named Daniel Grafton Hill. With his songs "Sometimes When We Touch" and "Can't We Try," a duet with Vonda Shepard, he scored two significant worldwide hits. He also had a number of additional singles that made the Canadian and American charts. He also made a name for himself as a songwriter, penning popular tunes for performers like George Benson and Celine Dion. He managed to breach the terms of the RCA contract and sign with the independent Canadian company GRT Records while still working with McCauley on recordings. They published "You Make Me Want to Be," his first Canadian number-one song, in 1975. This was followed by his debut album, Dan Hill.
