Spanish singer-songwriter Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler is from Spain. His recording career began in the middle of the 1990s on the independent Mexican label Fonovisa, and he went on to become the best-selling Spanish-language act of the era. He made a successful transition into the mainstream English-language market around the turn of the millennium. He agreed to a multi-album agreement worth US$68 million with Universal Music Group, which called for Interscope Records to release his English-language albums and Universal Music Latino to release his Spanish-language albums.
