Leslie Feist, better known by his stage name Feist, is a Canadian indie rock band Broken Social Scene member as well as a solo performer who specializes in indie pop music. With the release of Monarch in 1999, Feist began her solo musical career. Her subsequent studio albums, Let It Die (2004) and The Reminder (2007), received favorable reviews and had strong sales of over 2.5 million copies each. Feist received four Grammy nominations for The Reminder, including one for Best New Artist. 11 Juno Awards, including two for Artist of the Year, have been given to her. Metals, her fourth studio album, was made available in 2011. Feist and the metal band Mastodon worked together on a split EP in 2012, releasing an interactive music video in the process.
