John Farnham

Singer John Peter Farnham AO is from Australia. From 1967 through 1979, Farnham, then known as Johnny Farnham, was a teen pop idol. Since then, he has established a career as an adult contemporary performer. Although from 1982 to 1985 he took Glenn Shorrock's place as Little River Band's lead singer, his career has primarily been spent as a solo artist. His solo single "You're the Voice" reached its peak at No. 1 on the Australian singles charts in September 1986. The companion album, Whispering Jack, is the second-highest selling album in Australian history and held the top spot for a total of 25 weeks. The album and the single both peaked in the top ten globally, reaching No. 1 in Sweden.
