German violinist and pianist Julia Fischer performs classical music. She performs up to 60 times a year while also instructing at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts. Julia Fischer has Slovak and German background. In Prague, her parents first connected. Viera Fischer is her mother. In 1972, her father, East German mathematician Frank-Michael Fischer, similarly relocated from Eastern Saxony to West Germany. Fischer is a native speaker of German, English, and French. Fischer began her profession early despite continuing her education until the age of 19, where she studied music, physics, and arithmetic. In spring 2002, she passed the Abitur. Since she was 11 years old, she has given performances, and at the age of 23, she began teaching violin.
