Kardinal Offishall is the stage name of Jason Drew Harrow, a Canadian rapper, record producer, DJ, and record executive. He is frequently referred to as Canada's "hip hop ambassador," one of the top hip hop producers in the nation, and is most known for his distinct reggae and dancehall-influenced brand of hip hop. Offishall, a Toronto native, started his career as a member of The Circle in the city's underground hip hop scene in the middle of the 1990s. [9] Before joining the major label MCA Records in 2000, he put out a number of independent 12" singles, a debut album, and an EP. The following year, Offishall released his second album, Quest for Fire:Firestarter,Vol.1, which included the singles "BaKardi Slang," which became his hallmark song and popularized the term "T-dot" for Toronto, and "Ol' Time Killin'."
