Karin Dreijer

Swedish singer-songwriter and record producer Karin Elisabeth Dreijer. Together with their brother Olof Dreijer, Dreijer made up one half of the electronic music duo known as the Knife. The distinctive features of Dreijer's voice include deep and shrill tones, the use of multitracked vocals, and various applications of pitch-shifting technology on each track to produce a complex and enigmatic effect. In photo shoots, videos, and live performances where they frequently perform behind a gauze screen that partially blocks the audience's view, they often use masks, face and body paint, intricate costumes, and other theatrical elements.
