Canadian pop and country singer-songwriter Kathryn Dawn Lang, better known by her stage name k.d. lang, also works as an occasional actress. Grammy Awards and Juno Awards have been given to Lang for her musical performances. Songs like "Constant Craving" and "Miss Chatelaine" have achieved success. Lang, a mezzo-soprano, has worked with artists like Roy Orbison, Tony Bennett, Elton John, The Killers, Anne Murray, Ann Wilson, and Jane Siberry. She has also written songs for movie soundtracks. She performed at the 1988 Winter Olympics' closing ceremony in Calgary, Alberta, as well as the 2010 Winter Olympics' opening ceremony in Vancouver, British Columbia, when she sang Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."
