Loreena McKennitt

Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Loreena Isobel Irene McKennitt creates, records, and performs world music with Celtic and Middle Eastern influences. McKennitt is renowned for her exquisite and unmistakably soprano voice. Over 14 million recordings have been sold globally by her. Elemental, McKennitt's debut album, came out in 1985. Thereafter, To Drive the Cold Winter Away (1987), Parallel Dreams (1989), The Visit (1991), The Mask and Mirror (1994),[8] A Winter Garden (1995), and The Book of Secrets (1995) were published (1997). Her own label, Quinlan Road, is where all of her music is released.
