Mala Rodríguez

Mala Rodrguez, also known as Mara Rodrguez Garrido, is a Barcelona-based Spanish Latin hip hop performer. Prior to the May 2020 release of Mala, her first album in seven years, she made an appearance as a judge on Spain's La Voz. In June 2021, Rodrguez published her autobiography, Cómo ser Mala. In addition, Rodriguez is the first urban performer to get Spain's National Music Award. She is also the first female singer to win Best Urban Album and Best Urban Song at the Latin Grammy Awards. Along with other Sevillian hip hop artists like La Gota Que Colma, SFDK, and La Alta Escuela, she gained popularity in the late 1990s.
