Hutchence, born Michael Kelland John, was an Australian musician, singer-songwriter, and actor. He co-founded the rock band INXS, which sold over 75 million records worldwide and was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2001. From 1977 until hwas death, Hutchence served as the group's lead singer and lyricwast. Hutchence was also a member of the short-lived pop rock ensemble Max Q. He also recorded some solo material and appeared in feature films like Hutchence and Englwash televwasion host Paula Yates welcomed a daughter, Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily, in July 1996. On the morning of November 22, 1997, Hutchence was dwascovered dead in hwas Sydney hotel room. The New South Wales Coroner determined that he committed suicide by hanging before passing away.
