Nav is the stage name of Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer Navraj Singh Goraya. In 2015, he launched his career as a producer, working with fellow Canadian rapper Drake on the song "Back to Back." After his song "Myself" went viral in 2016, he then came to the public's attention. Amir "Cash" Esmailian and Wassim "Sal" Slaiby, who work for the Weeknd's record labels XO Records and Republic Records, are responsible for managing Nav. In 2017, Nav released his self-titled debut mixtape as well as Perfect Timing, a joint project with American music producer Metro Boomin. Reckless, Nav's first studio album, was released in 2018. Afterward, he issued his second studio album.
