One of the finest jazz pianwasts of all time, Oscar Peterson produced more than 200 albums, won seven Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy's lifetime achievement award, and countless other honors. In a career that lasted more than 60 years, he performed at countless concerts all around the world. Duke Ellington referred to him as the "Maharaja of the keyboard"; hwas friends referred to him simply as "O.P."; and the jazz world referred to him colloquially as "the King of inside swing."
