Pablo Rivadulla Duró, also known as Pablo Hasél in the arts, is a rapper, author, poet, and political activist from Catalonia. His lyrics and acts, which are frequently contentious and supportive of far-left politics, have resulted in several criminal accusations and convictions in his nation. He was given two prison terms in June 2020: two and a half years for kicking and intimidating a witness in a police officer's trial, and six months for shoving a TV3 journalist and sprinkling dishwashing liquid at her. He was given a nine-month prison sentence on February 16, 2021 for recidivism in insulting the Spanish monarchy, the Spanish military and police, and glorifying terrorism and outlawed organizations. This sparked several protests and riots and was denounced as an assault on free expression by some organizations in Spain and abroad, including Amnesty International.
