Porta is the stage name of Spanish rapper Christian Jiménez Bundo. Rather than relying on conventional record labels, he distributed his songs directly to listeners on social media networks, which is how he first became well-known. His 2006 demo No is Cuestión de Edades and No Hay Truco, released in 2007, both became underground blockbusters with astronomical download numbers. With the release of his debut studio album En Boca de Tantos by Universal Music Group in 2008, Porta gained fame among the general public. When Trastorno Bipolar was published in 2009, it fell short of En Boca de Tantos' level of popularity. After growing differences, Porta ended his relationship with UMG in August 2011. On May 7, 2012, he released Reset after joining PIAS Spain.
