René Pérez Joglar

Rapper, singer, and songwriter Residente, real name René Pérez Joglar, is from Puerto Rico. His most prominent role is as a founding member of the alternative rap group Calle 13. Before starting his solo career in 2015, Residente made five albums with Calle 13. In 2017, Residente issued his first album as a solo artist. More than any other Latin artist, he has won 27 Latin Grammy Awards in addition to four Grammy Awards. In addition, Residente has directed some of his own music videos and produced documentaries like Sin Mapa (2009) and Residente (2017).
