Richard Lewis Springthorpe, known professionally as Rick Springfield, is an Australian-American musician and actor. From 1969 to 1971, he was a member of the pop rock band Zoot. In the middle of 1972, he released his debut single, "Speak to the Sky," which peaked at number 10 in Australia. After relocating to the US, he achieved No. 1 status with "Jessie's Girl" in both Australia and the US in 1981. For this song, he won the Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance. I've Done Everything for You, Don't Talk to Strangers, Affair of the Heart, and Love Somebody were his next four top 10 US songs. Working Class Dog and Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet are two of Springfield's albums that reached the US Top 10.
