The term Rigoberta Bandini refers to both the musical group from Spain and the lead vocalist, Paula Ribó. Esteban Navarro, Ribó's partner, Joan Barenys, and Belén Barenys (Memé), two cousins who play various instruments and sing in the group, round up the lineup. Barenys performs multiple instruments, Ribó and Memé sing, and Navarro plays keyboard and co-produces with Ribó. The group has received numerous awards, including two Premios Odeón nominations and a win. Under the alias Rigoberta Bandini, Paula Ribó, a former Mamzelles member who translated numerous musicals into Spanish and Catalan during the 2010s, began her solo music career in 2019. The name combines those of human rights advocate Rigoberta Mench and Arturo Bandini from a John Fante story.
