Samy Deluxe

German rapper and record producer Samy Sorge, also referred to as Samy Deluxe, Wickeda MC, or Sam Semillia, is from Hamburg. Samy Deluxe published his self-titled first album in 2001, and for the 19th week of that year, it peaked at No. 2 on the German Album Charts. "Hab gehört...", the album's lead song, debuted at No. 26. The second single, "Internetional Love," did not, however, reach the charts. The album's most successful track was the last one, "Weck mich auf," which reached a high position of No. 4 in Germany and went on to become a nationwide smash. Samy Deluxe rose to fame as a highly respected hip hop musician both in German rap and abroad with the success of his solo debut.
