Australian singer-songwriter-musician Sarah Elizabeth Blaskow, better known by her stage name Sarah Blasko, is also a record producer. Blasko began pursuing a solo career in April 2002 after fronting the Sydney-based band Acquiesce from the middle of the 1990s until 2001. After leaving Acquiesce, she performed as Sorija in a short-lived duo of the same name. She had previously done so under her then-marriage name of Sarah Semmens. Blasko has recorded six studio albums as a solo artist: The Overture & the Underscore, What the Sea Wants, the Sea Will Have, As Day Follows Night, which peaked at No. 5, I Awake, which peaked at No. 9, Eternal Return, and Depth of Field.
