Slash

Saul Hudson, better known by his stage name Slash, is a British-American musician best known for being the lead guitarist of the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he enjoyed great success all over the world in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Slash is regarded as one of history's best guitarists and has won praise from the critics. Slash was born in Hampstead, London, and when he was five years old, he went to Los Angeles with his father. Seymour Cassel, an actor, gave him the nickname "Slash" when he was young; his parents both worked in the entertainment world. He first joined the glam metal group Hollywood Rose in 1983, and then, in 1985, he took Tracii Guns' place as a founding member of Guns N' Roses.
