Rapper and record producer Richard Martin Lloyd Walters, better known by his stage name Slick Rick, is English-American. He became well-known in the middle of the 1980s when he joined Doug E. Fresh & the Get Fresh Crew. The Show" and "La Di Da Di" are regarded as pioneering hip hop tracks. One of the most sampled songs in history is "La Di Da Di." Slick Rick joined Def Jam Records as the third artist in 1986. The Great Adventures of Slick Rick, The Ruler's Back, Behind Bars, and The Art of Storytelling are the four albums he has released. When Snoop Dogg rapped Rick's lyrics from his record "La Di Da Di" almost in their entirety on the track "Lodi Dodi" on his debut album Doggystyle in 1993, he was one of the first hip-hop artists to be covered.
