Sway

Derek Sway, often spelled Sway DaSafo, is a British rapper of Ghanaian heritage whose real name is Andrew Safo. He founded Dcypha Productions, a production company affiliated with Island/Universal, and is also a producer (label founder). Safo's song "Black Stars" from 2008 praised well-known Ghanaians living abroad. Sway DaSafo released "On My Own," his debut single, using his real name. He consistently stood out as a unique hybrid due to his quick flow, quick wit, and storytelling skills that were influenced by his favorite rap group, Bone Thugs N Harmony, as well as by local drum and bass MCs Skibadee and Shabba D.
