The Kid Laroi is reuniting with Scooter Braun nearly a year after he signed his first significant management agreement with him and left the company just three months later.
According to Variety, Braun's SB Projects, whose star-studded roster includes Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and J Balvin, recently signed the 18-year-old Australian artist to a new management agreement.
Less than a month has passed since Laroi cut ties with Adam Leber's Rebel Management.
According to the source, the contract states that "Braun will be directly involved in overseeing all aspects of the artist's career" Only a few days after working with Laroi once more, Braun took a flight to Australia on Thursday to attend the young rapper's concert.
Despite their brief collaboration in 2021, Scooter downplayed any animosity between the two when he spoke with Billboard for a cover story on the Kid Laroi in October of last year.
At the time, Braun remarked, "Laroi is a brilliant artist, and I wish him and his family nothing but the best." "I'm proud of the historic success we achieved together in the short time we were together — I always have his back, and he is aware of that."
Laroi initially left SB Projects because, according to Billboard, he had "significant problems" with the group and believed they were "making decisions without consulting him."
According to a source familiar with the matter who was also quoted by the outlet, "after Braun made 'a promise' that he would be closely associated with Laroi... There wasn't enough involvement from him.
