The Kid LAROI has released "Where Does Your Spirit Go?" as a "super personal" homage to the late artist Juice WRLD.
The official audio for the tune, which was initially performed by the 19-year-old Australian rapper at Coachella on Saturday (April 15), was released on YouTube on Friday (April 21).
"This wasn't in the plans for release, but I played it this weekend at Coachella and just felt like the time was right for some reason," he explained in the article. "This one is very special to me." It's quite personal. It's a song about loss, grief, and dealing with the associated thoughts and feelings.
"I pray for all of you who are going through something similar right now, and I hope this helps you feel a little less alone in all of this," he wrote. I appreciate everything you've done for me."
"Where Does Your Spirit Go?" is the third single from The Kid LAROI's upcoming album, The First Time, and follows "Love Again" and "The Kids Are Growing Up (Part 1)." The album's official release date has yet to be confirmed, however it is likely to arrive in 2023.
